Cocktail Meatballs

1 lb. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1/8 cup water
½ cup bread crumbs
3 tbsp. diced onion
1 can jellied cranberry sauce (8 oz.)
6 oz. chili sauce

1 tbsp. brown sugar
½ tbsp. lemon juice

Preheat oven to 350°F (115°C).

1. Mix together the ground beef, egg, water, bread crumbs and chopped onion. Form into 25 to 30 small balls.

2. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, turning once or microwave on high for 5 minutes.

3. In a 2 quart saucepan over low heat, blend together the cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar and lemon juice. Put sauce in crock pot. Add meatballs and cook on low for several hours.

Note: All the work can be done in the morning, leaving the afternoon free to prepare for the party. Or better yet use frozen meatballs from the grocery store.
